  • Tuesday 22 November 2022 Food Tech students cook for House of Bread We are very proud of our year 11 Food Technology students who have been completing their GCSE coursework. All meals prepared by the students have kindly been donated to House of Bread in Stafford to feed the homeless. Well done to Miss Main and our year 11 students!

  • Tuesday 28 June 2022 Gold Award for BWH We are delighted to announce thatwehaveachieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2021/22 academic year.
  • Friday 20 May 2022 District Rounders Champions Well done to our Y8 girls, who are now District Rounders Champions!The girls were a credit to the school in the way they conducted themselves both on and off the pitch. They will now represent the District at the County Championship after half term. Awesome, girls!

  • Friday 6 May 2022 District Champions! Congratulations to both of our boys' teams who made it through to the District football finals. Y8 narrowly lost 2-1 but played brilliantly. Y10 played in a very competitive game against Wolstanton and ran out 2-1 winners to lift the trophy! An excellent effort from all of our teams!
  • Thursday 28 April 2022 Football Stars Big congratulations to our Y8 footballers who won their District Cup semi-final on Wednesday. They beat Weston Road 2-0 to join the Y10 boys and Y11 girls who have also made it to the District football final!
  • Thursday 10 March 2022 Gardening Club Returns! Spring is on its way and we are delighted to already see so many flowers in bloom in our BWH garden. We are pleased to announce that Gardening Club will be returning on Wednesday March 16th after school. Please bring a change of clothes and shoes. All students are welcome!
  • Monday 7 March 2022 Thank you! Thank you to all the students, parents and staff who have continued to support our Ukrainian appeal. On Friday, students packed up donations while staff delivered to the drop off point. It tookfiveconvoy trips to take all the donations, an amazing contribution from our school community! Well done everyone!
  • Thursday 17 February 2022 A Night At The Musicals Well done to all our students who took part (on stage and behind the scenes!) in A Night At The Musicals - it was fantastic to be back performing in front of a live audience and great to see so many parents attending. An amazing performance by all! The students performed songs from Joseph and His Technicolour Dream Coat, Grease, Les Miserables and Oliver. Thank you to Mrs Bott and Mrs Helliker!
  • Tuesday 15 February 2022 Cross Country Champions! Congratulations to our cross country runners who competed at the County Championship. They have all qualified after a great performance at The District Championship. A special mention to Jack Hadley in Y8 (running in a Y9 competition) who has now qualified to represent Staffordshire at the English Schools Cross Country Championship held in Kent in March! Good luck, Jack!
  • Thursday 3 February 2022 Y7 Football Team Victory! Congratulations to our Y7 footballers who beat Chase Grammar in a friendly last night.Great football and team spirit demonstrated by all, well done!
  • Friday 28 January 2022 Holocaust Memorial Day Year 7 and 8 pupils were involved in 'lighting the darkness' for Holocaust Memorial Day 2022. They created their own candles in remembrance of The Holocaust, where 6 million Jewish men, women and children were persecuted at the hands of the Nazi's, they also remembered more recent Genocides worldwide. The students thoughtfully created memorial candles to represent equality and understanding to make sure we stand together as One. Well done, BWH prayer club!
  • Thursday 16 December 2021 Reverse Advent Calendar Success Thanks to all of our wonderful students who spent December supporting the reverse advent calendar project. This was based on the concept of giving rather than receiving, and students were asked to bring in non-perishable food items each day. These items have now been compiled into festive food hampers which will out go the local community. Well done!
  • Thursday 2 December 2021 Christingle Celebrations for Year 7 and 8 Year 7 and Year 8 RE classes are learning about and celebrating a Christingle service in their Chapel sessions this fortnight. Pupils have really enjoyed this seasonal opportunity to reflect and pray in this way. Here are some of 7B3 enjoying their Christingle service.
  • Friday 5 November 2021 Girls Football Goes From Strength to Strength Another fantastic turnout for girls' football training this week!Over forty girls attended, despite the cold, on the first week back after half term. We are so proud of their enthusiasm. Well done to our amazing girls for their incredible team spirit!

All of our runners were amazing and had to battle the conditions and the difficult course.   • Tuesday 19 October 2021 Rugby Team Victory! Congratulations to our Year 9 rugby team who progressed to the next round of the county cup after beating Walton by 5 tries to 2! Well done!

  • Tuesday 12 October 2021 A Great Performance from our Girls' Football Team Congratulations to our girls' football team who played against Sir Graham Balfour last night. After a highly competitive match, the game ended in a 3-3 draw. Well done on a great performance!
  • Monday 11 October 2021 Sweet DNA for Y12 Biology Students Year 12 Biologists have been learning about the structure of DNA and made models to help apply their learning. Before they were allowed to enjoy the sweets, they had to demonstrate accurate pairing of complementary bases A-T and C-G (represented by the colour-coded gummies), plus construction of the correct ladder structure using a sugar-phosphate backbone (represented by the fizzy lace) with wooden sticks for hydrogen bonds.
