BWH Signs Up Go 4 Schools to improve progress tracking
Blessed William Howard Catholic High School is implementing a new school information system, Go 4 Schools. This will make it easier to record, analyse and share classroom data in real time, and will allow students and parents to make better informed decisions.
Go 4 Schools will facilitate better monitoring of students in terms of performance and behaviour, as well as improved communication between parents and staff.
The online marking system enables subject specific, continuous tracking of pupils. It puts subject leaders in control and allows the whole school to benefit from real time evidence based performance statistics.
The behaviour module recognises that praise and reward are important factors in developing motivation, self-esteem and achievement. It also identifies those students who are regularly disrupting learning at a very low level – the sort of disruption that would not always be recorded on paper-based behaviour logs. This information reveals the relationship between attitude and success, showing that improvements in behaviour lead to rewards and attainment.
“This investment is all about improving our use of information and data,” commented Headteacher, Mr Phil Smith. “The more efficiently we can track and share specific information and react to it, the more we can help our pupils.”
‘Go 4 Schools’ is being implemented over the next few weeks. Parents, please click here to find out more.
